A public meeting for residents to share views and discuss local matters. Provides Kesgrave residents with the opportunity to hear updates on the Town Council’s activities, raise questions, and share ideas about the community. It is an open, inclusive event that encourages discussion on local issues, projects, and priorities. The meeting is usually held in the Council Chamber at the Town Council offices, and all residents are warmly invited to attend and participate.
Planning & Development
The Planning and Development Committee is responsible for reviewing planning applications and proposals within the town and acting as a statutory consultee to the Local Planning Authority. At each meeting, councillors consider new applications, note planning decisions made by East Suffolk Council, and review any letters of objection, support, or observations submitted by residents and consultees. The committee also discusses wider development issues such as the Neighbourhood Plan, community surveys, and potential impacts on biodiversity and the local environment. These meetings ensure that planning matters are dealt with transparently and that the council's recommendations reflect the interests of the local community.
Full Council
The Annual Full Council Meeting is a key session where the Town Council formally begins its new civic year. The committee also oversees the organisation and support of community events and initiatives that encourage local engagement and wellbeing. Through its work, the committee helps ensure Kesgrave remains a vibrant, accessible, and welcoming place for all.
