Essential Works on Bell Lane by Anglian Water
Kesgrave Town Council wishes to inform residents about essential upgrade works being carried out by Anglian Water on Bell Lane. These works are vital for maintaining and improving the local water infrastructure.
Anglian Water will be upgrading assets on a mains water main located in the field adjacent to Bell Lane, opposite the secondary entrance to Foxhall Stadium, at the south end of Bell Lane.
Key Information Regarding the Works & Road Closure
- Overall Scheme Duration: Monday 27th July to Monday 3rd August 2026 (6 days).
- Temporary Road Closure Dates: Bell Lane will be temporarily closed on Monday 27th July 2026 (for site setup) and Monday 3rd August 2026 (for site de-mobilisation).
- Closure Times: On the specified closure days, the road will be closed at the start of the day and re-opened at the end of the day.
- Road Access: Bell Lane will be fully open during the days between 27th July and 3rd August 2026.
- Reason for Closure: The closure is purely for the safe setup and de-mobilisation of the work site, including the delivery and collection of plant and materials. The actual upgrade work is taking place within the adjacent field and does not involve excavation on the carriageway.
Anglian Water apologises for any inconvenience this essential work and temporary road closure may cause to residents and road users. These measures are in place to ensure the safety of their work teams.

During the temporary road closures, appropriate safety measures, including cones, barriers, and lamps, will be in place spanning the entire width of the road at all closure gates.
