Upcoming Elections in Our Area

On Thursday, 7 May 2026, residents in Kesgrave and the surrounding areas will go to the polls to elect their representatives for Suffolk County Council.

A Notice of Election is an official legal document. It formally announces that an election will take place, outlines the timeline for nominations, and provides the key deadlines for residents to register to vote.

Which Division am I in? Depending on where you live in our community, you will fall into either the Kesgrave Division or the Rushmere St Andrew Division. Both divisions will each elect one County Councillor to represent them at the county level.

Important Voting Deadlines

To ensure your voice is heard, please take note of the following statutory deadlines for the May 2026 elections:

  • Monday 20 April (Midnight): Deadline to register to vote.
  • Tuesday 21 April (5pm): Deadline for new postal vote applications.
  • Tuesday 28 April (5pm): Deadline for Voter ID (Voter Authority Certificate) and Proxy applications.
  • Thursday 7 May (7am–10pm): Polling Day.
