Update for Kesgrave Residents

Recycling is evolving this Summer

From June 2026, waste and recycling services across East Suffolk are changing to meet new national standards. This means more items can be recycled from your doorstep than ever before, including glass, cartons, and soft plastics.

In May 2026, East Suffolk Council will send every household a detailed information pack and a new collection calendar. Until then, please keep your new bins tucked away.

Why the change? It has been 25 years since the current system began. New technology allows for much better sorting, meaning East Suffolk Council can recycle more at the kerbside and significantly reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
