Overview

Kesgrave Town Council maintains a comprehensive Asset Register in line with the Local Government Transparency Code. The Register lists land, buildings, equipment, and community assets owned by the Council, recorded at their original cost or nominal value where appropriate.

Summary

As at 31 March 2025, the Council’s total recorded assets amount to £1,228,198. The Register is reviewed each financial year to ensure accuracy, reflect new purchases or disposals, and support completion of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR).

Valuation and Review

Assets are recorded at purchase cost and not depreciated. Land and community assets gifted to the Council may appear at a nominal £1. A separate inventory records lower-value items that remain important for service delivery or community use. The Register and Inventory are reviewed annually by the Council and published in summary form for transparency.
