Vision and planning framework for Kesgrave’s development to 2036
The Kesgrave Neighbourhood Plan was prepared by Kesgrave Town Council and sets out the community’s vision for development in Kesgrave up to 2036. The Plan forms part of the statutory Development Plan for the District, meaning it helps guide decisions on planning applications within the designated Neighbourhood Plan Area.
Following a public referendum held on 6 May 2021, in which a majority of residents voted “yes”, the Plan was formally made by East Suffolk Council on 26 May 2021. As more than 50% of those who voted were in favour, the Council adopted the Neighbourhood Plan as part of its statutory planning framework.
The Council determined that the Plan complies with all legal and procedural requirements and that it does not breach, or conflict with, any EU obligations or Convention Rights. A minor modification to correct an error was approved on 22 June 2021. Full details can be found in the accompanying Modification Document.
