Town Update: 23 March 2026

Spring has Arrived in Kesgrave!

Astronomically speaking, Spring is officially here—and thankfully, the weather has been playing along!

With the clocks set to go forward soon, we can all look forward to those lighter evenings and a town coming into bloom. It’s been a packed start to the year, and we are excited to share some of the major milestones we’ve already reached together.

Pump Track: Taking Shape

Work on the much-anticipated Kesgrave Pump Track is well underway. Since the fences went up on February 23rd, the transformation at Longstrops has been incredible. Just one month in, the technical turns and berms are clearly visible, showing the true scale of this world-class facility.

We are grateful for the community's patience while construction continues. You can view the full gallery of progress photos and the project timeline on our dedicated page:

Town Award & Recognition Scheme 2026

2026 marks the inaugural year of our local Town Award programme. We want to recognise those in the community who go above and beyond to make Kesgrave a better place to live, work, and play.

Nominations have been rolling in over the last few weeks. As the closing date looms, our panel will soon begin the task of selecting the winners. We look forward to announcing the recipients at our Annual Town Meeting in April.

Save the Date: Kesgrave Fun Day 2026

The cornerstone of our summer calendar is back! We can officially confirm that this year’s Fun Day will be held at the Millennium Sports Field on Saturday, June 27th.

We are already hard at work planning a spectacular lineup for 2026. Stay tuned for a full confirmation of activities, stalls, and entertainment over the coming weeks.

Recycling is Changing in East Suffolk

As announced in February, waste and recycling services across the district are changing from June 2026 to meet new national standards. This means you will soon be able to recycle more items from your doorstep, including glass, cartons, and soft plastics.

By now, your new bins should have arrived. East Suffolk Council will be sending out detailed information packs in May to explain the new collection schedules and guidelines.
