About Avtar Athwall
Title: Town Councillor
We moved to Kesgrave in 2010, and I joined the Council in 2016. Currently, I serve on two committees - Planning & Development, and Community & Recreation. In 2019, Kesgrave Forget Me Not Café was set up and I am the co-founder and co-ordinator for it. I am a Trustee of Kesgrave & District Help Centre and member of Kesgrave Library Community Group, and Patient Participation Group at the Embrace Medical Centre. I volunteer with Kesgrave Community Centre and in particular support their Chinwag and Time Together Tuesday events. My professional background is in education – secondary, higher and research. I am a grandmother of four and my two daughters and their families live in Kesgrave.
