Overview

The Kesgrave Town Council Annual Action Plan 2025–2026 expands upon the priorities set out in the Business Plan 2025–2028. It identifies key development projects, assigns ownership for delivery, and tracks progress through regular reporting. The plan demonstrates how the Council translates its strategic aims into practical actions that benefit the community.

Purpose

The Action Plan provides a structured approach to:

  • Defining specific goals and target dates for each area of Council activity.
  • Ensuring accountability by assigning lead officers and Councillors to each action.
  • Recording achievements, challenges, and opportunities that arise during the year.
  • Reporting progress transparently to residents through Council meetings and published updates.

Key Focus Areas (2025–2026)

  • Community & Recreation Projects: Improvements to local facilities, youth engagement programmes, and the pump track project.
  • Planning & Development: Land acquisition, open space adoption, and the review of the Kesgrave Neighbourhood Plan.
  • Finance & Governance: Review of reserves, Land Management Plan, and Local Council Award Scheme (Bronze).
  • Operations & IT: Office upgrades, website redevelopment, and security enhancements using .gov.uk domain standards.
  • Community Engagement: Strengthening links with schools, colleges, and partner organisations, and implementing new digital communication tools.

Progress and Monitoring

The Action Plan is reviewed quarterly by the relevant committees and updated annually to reflect completed work, ongoing initiatives, and new priorities that emerge during the year. Progress updates are reported at Full Council meetings and published to maintain transparency.
